ProServ in Action at 21 Colour
Glasgow-based 21 Colour Limited is helping to ensure the best availability of its two manroland presses by running the press suppliers ProServ maintenance contracts on its two ROLAND 500 machines.
Both six-colour and five-colour machines are fully covered and the company receives regular preventative maintenance visits from trained manroland personnel. John McManus, Works Director at 21 Colour, adds: “They also pass on information to our machine minders, which has already helped them to build up a good knowledge with regard to technical issues. It gives them a clearer understanding of the machine, and general day-to-day maintenance issues.”
The installation, which was originally announced back in January 2006, has been supported by ProServ from day one. ProServ maintenance contracts are designed to provide preventative maintenance on manroland presses, with regular, planned service visits to monitor machine performance and spot wear and tear on components, replacing worn parts before they can lead to machine breakdown and loss of production. “It gives us piece of mind to know that the machines are in the care of professional service technicians, and a confidence that our presses are not going to let us down at a critical time,” said John McManus.
The B2-format five and six-colour press configurations are both equipped with dedicated coating units, and were also both installed with manroland’s ColorPilot system, providing on the run colour consistency.
