manroland GB appoints amplifier to roll out 2009 UK PR campaign

Specialist technology PR bureau, amplifier, has been appointed by manroland GB, the UK division of German printing press manufacturing giant, manroland AG, to roll out a 2009 public relations campaign targeting the commercial printing, publishing, packaging and newspaper sectors. The campaign will look to build on the success of the company’s corporate rebranding programme undertaken in 2008, and focus on a series of PR initiatives aimed at fostering greater industry awareness of manroland’s full portfolio of printing machinery, ancillaries, consultancy and support services.
Says Anna Mastrodonato, marketing manager, manroland GB: “All sectors of the graphic arts industry have evolved rapidly over the past few years and this has meant companies have had to develop a more flexible and creative approach to the way they manage their PR and media relationships. As such, we were looking for a professional agency that could quickly understand our business and develop ideas to clearly articulate the importance we place on innovation in product development, our commitment to the environment and the growing portfolio of after sales service and marketing support packages we offer. amplifier’s versatile approach to PR means we have a strong partner through which to drive our products and services into the market in 2009.
“As both companies have many years’ experience in the graphic arts sector and a clear understanding of the challenges faced by today’s printers, manroland and amplifier will be working together to ensure printers can exploit the full market potential of their machines and understand the services manroland offers to help printers achieve this. Our new PR campaign is an important part of our business strategy to achieve sustained growth over the coming years."
Says Paul Spiers, managing director, amplifier: “our appointment as manroland’s UK agency represents a significant step in the evolution of amplifier as an agency and a great start to 2009. manroland has a strong heritage in the graphic arts sector and is highly respected as a leader in the development of innovative printing technologies. It’s a very prestigious account for amplifier to win and we are excited about rolling out the 2009 campaign.
“manroland GB has very strong ambitions in the UK market supported by an outstanding product range. The manroland team is also extremely passionate about its products and the company’s vision for the future. This enthusiasm emulates our philosophy at amplifier. We always look for real passion in a client’s approach to their marketing, as we believe this is critical to the success of any programme we undertake. We see our appointment to handle manroland’s UK PR as the first step in a very positive 2009 for the agency.”
amplifier’s manroland GB PR team will be headed by managing director, Paul Spiers and account manager, David Jamieson.
